Overcrowded Montreal-area emergency rooms expected to see post-holiday surge

Montreal-area hospitals are still dealing with overcrowding in emergency rooms and the fear is the situation will be even worse after New Year’s.

On Friday, the ER at the Royal Victoria and the Jewish General Hospital were both at more than 190 per cent capacity.

Doctors say that’s still far from the worst they’ve seen in the past year.
