• Montreal police investigating after man shot in Ahuntsic-Cartierville

  Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating an armed assault Sunday morning in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. Police report that a call came in around 6:15 a.m. after a man was shot near a bar on l'Acadie Boulevard near Mazurette Street.

  

• Montreal-area private school teacher arrested in connection with child pornography

  Parents at a private school on Montreal's South Shore received a disturbing letter Friday night informing them a teacher had been arrested in connection with child pornography. Gilles Croteau is a math teacher at Collège Trinité, a high school in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.

  A woman in her 30s was stabbed and seriously injured in Montreal's Lachine borough Saturday morning. A 47-year-old man was arrested. Montreal police (SPVM) could not confirm the relationship between the victim and suspect.

• 31 arrests in Quebec crackdown on various child sex offences, including pornography

  Thirty-one arrests have been made in connection with child pornography and other sexual offences involving minors across Quebec in recent days. Police conducted the crackdown by searching suspects' homes and computers.

• Two men injured after home invasion in Saint-Hyacinthe, Que.; one in critical condition

  Two men were injured in a home invasion Saturday night in Saint-Hyacinthe, in Quebec's Montérégie. One of them, a 58-year-old man, is in critical condition.

  Longueuil police (SPAL) are asking for the public's help locating 16-year-old Loick Charlebois Bruce, who has been missing since Tuesday. He is white, 5'5" tall, and weighs 132 lbs. He has black hair and dark eyes, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black jogging pants with a white stripe.
