Montreal’s Formula E event takes over a number of downtown streets this weekend.

Portions of the following roads are closed to traffic all weekend long:

Rene-Levesque East, Papineau Ave., Viger Ave., Notre-Dame St., Saint-Antoine St. and Berri St.

Anyone wanting access the interior of the circuit by car can only do so using Amherst St. and can only exit the circuit zone via De La Gauchetiere, between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

 

PARKING

For safety reasons, parking isn’t available many of the streets surrounding the circuit.

FREE PUBLIC TRANSIT

Public transit in Montreal is free all weekend long, on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30. LINK

The best metro stations for accessing the ePrix circuit are Berri-UQAM, Papineau and Champ-des-Mars.

A number of bus routes in the downtown area have been modified for the weekend as well. 

 

GETTING BACK TO NORMAL

Traffic should gradually return to normal on the following dates:

 

Streets reopening on July 31:

Papineau, between René-Lévesque and Viger, Western lane, northbound only.

Viger from Papineau to Berri

Saint-Hubert, from Viger to Saint-Antoine

Saint-Antoine, from Berri to Notre-Dame

Notre-Dame, from Saint-Antoine to Panet

Panet, from Viger to Notre-Dame

 

Streets reopening on August 1st:

René-Lévesque, from Berri to Papineau, Northbound only.

Berri, from Viger to Maisonneuve

Amherst, at the intersection of René-Lévesque

 

August 2nd – Intersection at Rene-Levesque and Wolfe reopens.

 

Streets reopening on August 4th:

All of Rene-Levesque

Saint-Hubert, Saint-Andre, Saint-Timothee

 

Streets reopening August 5th:

Papineau between Rene-Levesque and Viger, east side.

 

The ePrix final airs on CTV starting at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
