Tania Krywiak got the journalism bug when she was quite young. When she was in grade two, her teachers went on strike and every night she watched the news to see when it would end so she could back to school. She was naturally inquisitive and was always asking questions to get to the bottom of things.

She started her career as a researcher for CBC Radio in Quebec City, which lead to some on-air reports and a stint producing the afternoon drive-home show. Krywiak then moved on to television, where she worked for Global Quebec's Quebec City office.

Missing her friends and family back in Montreal, she eventually returned home to work for CTV Montreal. Some of the most memorable events she has covered are some of the saddest: she has covered both the tragedy of Sept. 11 and the shooting at Dawson College. She was in Italy on an assignment about the Montreal mafia when the Pope passed away, and so she covered that, too.

Not just a reporter, during the summer of 2008 Krywiak produced the national morning weekend show "Good Morning Canada." For several years Krywiak ran "On Your Side", a segment featuring investigative and consumer reports. What she loves most about her job is getting to tell stories that matter to people.

Born in Montreal, Krywiak studied Journalism at Concordia University. She enjoys reading murder mysteries and psychological thrillers, swimming, cross-country skiing and photography. Krywiak was part of the Marunczak Ukrainian Dance Ensemble.
