UPDATE HERE.

Two young men from Quebec have gone missing while on a hiking trip in New Zealand.

Etienne Lemieux and Louis-Vincent Lessard were last seen July 6 in Queenstown on the South Island, a sister of one of the man has confirmed.

Both are 23-year old Industrial Design students at the Universite de Montreal. They told friends they were going hiking in Fiordland National Park.

They were supposed to meet up with friends three days later, but the pair never showed up.

Their families contacted police when they both missed their flight home Friday.

A Facebook page has been set up to help find the missing men.
