MONTREAL—The dominos keep falling at McGill’s health network as a sixth person was arrested on Thursday due to an investigation into the tendering of contracts for the Glen superhospital.

Yohann Elbaz was arrested by Quebec’s permanent anti-corruption unit in the early morning hours of April 25 and faces 16 criminal charges, including fraud and abuse of trust.

A lawyer, Elbaz is the brother of Yanai Elbaz, who served as the chief lieutenant to Arthur Porter, the embattled former head of the MUHC.

Elbaz will appear in court on May 23.Elbaz’s brother, alongside Porter, former SNC-Lavalin President Pierre Duhaime and former VP Riadh Ben Aissa already face similar criminal charges.

According to UPAC, engineering giant SNC-Lavalin paid out millions in kickbacks to MUHC directors to secure the highly lucrative contract to build in the superhospital in Montreal’s Notre-Dame-de-Grace borough.
