MONTREAL - Construction crews will be taking advantage of mild weather to work on several Montreal highways and bridges this weekend.

The Bonaventure Expressway (Highway 10) will have two out of three Montreal-bound lanes closed from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday.

From 8 p.m. until midnight two out of three lanes that head toward the Champlain Bridge will be closed. In both case crews are removing concrete barriers.

Meanwhile the Atwater Exit (Exit 61) on the 15 South will be closed for much of the weekend.

Crews will, once again, be removing a concrete barrier, so traffic will be banned from the ramp between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Only one lane will be open on the Jacques Cartier Bridge overnight, from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday while crews repair steel framework underneath the span.

St. Jacques Exit closing for months

And finally, the St. Jacques Exit on the Ville Marie Expressway (720 West) is scheduled to close next week and remain closed until the end of August.

St. Jacques St. itself will remain open in both directions while crews work on the MUHC superhospital.
