Quebec's international relations minister says far-right groups are hurting the province's reputation around the world.
Christine St-Pierre says Quebec must continue to project an image of "openness," despite the actions of far-right nationalists.
One right-wing group is organizing a demonstration Sunday to denounce the immigration policies of both the federal and provincial governments.
Another has announced plans to open what it calls an "identity-based" boxing club.
St-Pierre's comments came a day after Premier Philippe Couillard said he's concerned by the presence of anti-immigration banners in Quebec City.
Couillard says opposition politicians need to tone down their rhetoric and stop calling asylum seekers "illegal immigrants."
