After a year of playing with the Montreal Impact, Jack McIerney is heading to Columbus.
The soccer team traded McInerney to the Columbus Crew in return for a second-round draft pick in 2016.
The team said it had to make room in its roster after its recent acquisitions of Didier Drogba and Johan Venegas.
The team had initially acquired McInerney in 2014 in a trade for Andrew Wenger.
