MONTREAL - Four people are dead following a head-on collision in La Verendrye.
The crash occurred at kilometer 194 of Hwy 117 near Lac du Galopin at about 1:10 p.m.
A car heading south on the 177 lost control and crashed into a pickup truck headed north.
Two adults and two children were killed at the scene, all of the victims being in the car.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered injuries, but his life is not in danger.
A provincial police representative reported that the roads were icy and covered with snow at the time.
The accident took place in a remote area of the province approximately four hours drive northwest of Montreal.
