MONTREAL—A 72-year-old woman died at the end of Ste-Therese’s Thursday evening rush hour when she slipped and fell into traffic in what police are calling a case of hit-and-run.

The woman was crossing St-Charles St. at the busy intersection with Cote St-Louis Rd. when she fell and was struck by a pale sedan. The car didn’t stop.

According to Therese-De Blainville police spokesman Marin Charron, the senior was transported to an area hospital where she was declared dead.

Local police installed a command center on Thursday evening and closed the local area to traffic as crime scene investigators looked for clues
