Francois Legault thinks high school students should be waking up later, and staying in school later in the day.

The CAQ leader announced Thursday that if elected, his government would alter school hours province-wide.

He said that most high schools in Quebec end their day far too early, leaving teenagers at home alone in the middle of the afternoon.

Legault would rather see high schools operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and see them offer more help with homework.

He would also like to see them offer more sporting and cultural activities after hours.

In its continued push to appeal to English voters, the Coalition Avenir Quebec launched the English version of its website on Thursday.
