Winter's getting a warm start, this year, right through Christmas Day

Mostly quiet weather, quiet conditions ahead As we head into the first days of winter this weekend and next week, we can expect mostly quiet weather and quiet conditions.

Winter officially begins on Saturday, and we will kick the season off with a high of 5 C.

Saturday night into Sunday morning, Calgary and communities along the Trans-Canada and south will have mixed precipitation.

Freezing rain is possible, so the roads will be slick early Sunday morning.

It should clear out later in the morning.

After that, the weather looks pretty quiet; there's a small chance of a few flurries on Christmas Day and a high around 3 C by then.
