Man in critical condition after overnight shooting

Man injured in early morning shooting Calgary police are investigating after a man was left in critical condition following a shooting in Cityscape. Mason DePatie reports.

A man is in critical condition following a shooting in the northeast Calgary community of Cityscape.

Police said the incident occurred shortly after midnight on Cityscape Way N.E.

Officers remained at the scene for several hours, before leaving around 4 a.m.

CTV News spoke with a man who said he’s the victim’s father. He did not give his name.

The man said his family was woken up by five loud bangs outside their home.

He said his daughter looked out the window, and saw his son sitting injured in a car.

The man said the incident has left the family shaken and worrying if their family member will survive.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. There is no information on any suspects.
