A Habs favourite was on hand for a new Montreal tradition Saturday.
Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher was taking part in the city’s first tree toss competition.

The event is an old German tradition – but a first here – presented as part of Igloofest at Place Jacques Cartier.
The competition was open to all for a voluntary contribution of $10.
All money raised will be donated to Trees for Earth Day Quebec - a program which hopes to plant 375,000 trees in Montreal for the city's 375th anniversary next year.
