MONTREAL - The bail hearing for a Pierrefonds man facing four child pornography-related charges was delayed Wednesday, but more details emerged about his case.

Kimberley Moskalewski, 52, was arrested Monday at his home in Pierrefonds.

He faces charges of producing, distributing and possessing child pornography. An additional charge is for observing or filming people in a place where they would have a "reasonable expectation of privacy if the observation of recording is done for a sexual purpose."

The quantity of child pornography found was relatively small at 1,000 files, though the prosecution says it's not through with its investigation because it has gone through just one of at least five computers seized at Moskalewski's home and his place of work.

The suspect's wife ran a private home daycare out of their home, but it is closed in August.

Moskalewski's neighbours expressed shock at his arrest because he was a well-respected resident of his street.

"This is someone I went to church with. It bothers me," one neighbour told CTV Montreal's Stephane Giroux.

"I only have good things to say about these people, really," another neighbour said.

A source close to the investigation told CTV Montreal that the police believe none of the children at the day care were harmed, and his wife is considered to be above suspicion.

Moskalewski's bail hearing was pushed to Monday to give his defence more time to prepare. Crown prosecutor Caroline Paquin plans to oppose bail.
