Police have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run that killed a 15-year-old boy.
Gabriel Dontigny was riding his bicycle in Saint Jude, about 70 km northeast of Montreal, when he was struck by a car and hurled into a ditch.
A passerby found him around 9 p.m. Tuesday and he was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Police investigating the scene found several pieces that had broken off a car, and using that information they were able to locate a man considered an important witness.
He was questioned Wednesday night before being arrested.
