Seven people were arrested Tuesday in a series of five raids in Notre Dame de Grace and Montebello.

"Between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., our investigators from the organized crime section visited five places," between the west-end neighbourhood and the town 130 kilometres west of Montreal, said Montreal police Const. Olivier Lapointe.

Three firearms and an armoured car were seized in the raid, said Lapointe.

Those arrested will appear in court Wednesday, he said.

RueFrontenac.com reported Tuesday evening that one of the men arrested was Antonio Magi, a real estate developer and construction entrepreneur with ties to the Rizzuto family. The report also stated that two of the other men arrested were Magi's bodyguards.
