Google has come up with a fun way to enjoy maps for April Fool's Day.

The internet giant has altered its ever-useful Maps with a Pac-Man option, allowing users to transform any set of streets into the iconic video game.

To play, punch any address into Google Maps and then click the Pac-Man button on the bottom left of the screen.

Take it from us: playing on a map with a roundabout, merging lanes or a clover-leaf intersection is very challenging, such as the streets around the CTV Montreal offices.

At least players don't have to worry about one-way streets or 'no-left-turn' signs.

Only certain areas are available for players on mobile phones, including Niagara Falls.

Google has often transformed its home page into an interactive game, the first time being May 21, 2010 when the Google logo became -- what else? -- a Pac-Man maze.
