That includes taxis, but not buses.
It also means all motorcycles must be off the road for the next three months, since there are no winter tires certified for motorcycles.
People planning to head out of the province, selling a car, or making some other type of transfer can apply for a seven day exemption from the SAAQ.
Otherwise people caught driving without the appropriate rubber can face a fine of at leas $200.
