Several services and stores will be closed or operate on a revised schedule for Labour Day. Here is a rundown.
Several City of Montreal facilities remain open Monday while, in general, municipal and borough offices, service points and Acces Montreal offices are closed.
Residents are asked to consult borough websites via the main city portal or to call the 311 information line or 514-872-0311.
Most borough garbage recycling and bulky item collections will take place according to their normal schedules, with these exceptions:
Federal and provincial government offices are closed.
Banks are closed.
Municipal court is closed.
All parking meters will remain in operation and all parking signs must be respected.
Canada Post offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery or collection.
Montreal Transit Corporation buses and metros will operate on a holiday schedule.
AMT: The Montreal/Deux-Montagnes and Montreal/Vaudreuil-Hudson lines will run on a Sunday schedule, and the Montreal/Blainville–Saint-Jerome, Montreal/Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Montreal/Delson–Candiac line will not have any service.
Laval public transit will run on a Sunday schedule.
Longueuil public transit will run on a Saturday schedule.
Most retail stores are closed.
Société des alcools du Québec stores are open, except for those found inside malls that are closed.
Montreal's public markets, such as the Atwater, Jean Talon and Maisonneuve markets are open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Bonsecours Market is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information: 514-872-7730.

The Botanical Garden and the Insectarium are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information: 514-872-1400.
The Pointe-à-Callière Museum of Archaeology and History is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
