Several services and stores will be closed or operate on a revised schedule over the Easter holiday. Here is a partial list:
- City of Montreal offices, including Acces Montréal offices and borough offices, will be closed from Friday through Monday.
- The 311 information line will be running.
- Household garbage and recycling pickup will continue, with a few exceptions. NDG will not have any service in the area between Grand and the border's borough with Westmount, and between Queen Mary and St. Jacques.
- Federal and provincial government offices are closed until Tuesday.
- Banks will be closed on Friday, April 2, but will be open Monday, April 5.
- Municipal court will be closed until Tuesday.
- All parking meters will remain in operation.
- Canada Post offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery or collection.
- Montreal Transit Corporation buses and metros will operate on a holiday schedule both Friday and Monday. Visit www.stm.info for information.
- AMT: On Friday, the The Montreal/Deux-Montagnes line will run on a Saturday schedule, the Montreal/Dorion–Rigaud line will run on a Sunday schedule, and the Montreal/Blainville–Saint-Jerome, Montreal/Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Montreal/Delson–Candiac line will not have any service. All trains will operate on a regular schedule Monday.
- Laval public transit will run on a Saturday schedule on both Friday and Monday.
- The Atwater, Jean Talon and Maisonneuve markets will operate on a regular schedule.
- The Bonsecours Market will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. throughout the weekend.
- Most stores and supermarkets will be closed on Sunday.
- Arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres follow varied schedules set by their respective boroughs. Residents are asked to contact personnel at these facilities.
- The Biodome and Insectarium are currently closed due to a labour dispute.
- The Montréal Botanical Garden and Planetarium will remain open, but may have revised programming. Call 514-872-1400 for details.
