Here's a list of what's open and closed over the long weekend:

Most city offices will be closed both Friday and Monday, including all borough and Acces Montréal offices and points of service.

Banks will be closed Good Friday but open Easter Monday.

Provincial and federal government offices will be closed both Friday and Monday.

Post offices will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, and there will be no collection of delivery of mail. However, post offices operated by private businesses may be open based on schedules determined by the host business.

Montreal’s STM buses will run on a holiday schedule both Friday and Monday.

Most of Longueuil’s RTL buses will run on a Saturday schedule, but there are some exceptions.

Laval’s STL buses will run on a Saturday schedule Friday and Monday.

On Friday, there will be no service on the Candiac and Mont St. Hilaire AMT train lines, Saturday service on the Two Mountains line, weekend service on the St. Jerome Line, and Sunday service on the Vaudreuil-Hudson line. All AMT train lines run on a normal schedule on Easter Monday.

The boroughs will maintain household garbage, green waste, food waste and recycling collections according to the regular schedule, but the collection of bulky objects is cancelled in Rosemont–La Petite Patrie.

Ecocentres will follow their regular summer schedule: every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The schedules of arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres vary from borough to borough. Residents should contact these facilities directly for their opening hours over the holiday weekend.

The Claude Robillard sports complex will be closed on both Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The Montreal Biodome will be open all weekend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Insectarium and the Botanical Garden will be open Friday through Sunday from 9 to 5, but closed Monday. The Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium will be open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday 9 to 5 and Monday 9 to 4 p.m. Information: espacepourlavie.ca or 514-872-1400.

The Montreal municipal court at 775 Gosford St. and the service counter at 303 Notre Dame St. E will be closed.

The Pointe a Calliere Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History will be open on Friday, April 18, and closed on Monday, April 21. Information: 514-872-9150.

And don't forget -- parking meters and no-parking signs remain in effect over the long weekend.
