A big sign the holidays are just around the corner is when Montreal's Jubilation Gospel Choir performance schedule kicks into high gear.

This year the choir is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Director Trevor Payne is still in charge and will lead the choir along with half a dozen musicians through timeless classics.

This Sunday at 8 p.m. they place Place des Arts along with special guests Kathleen Dyson, Daniel Clarke Bouchard and the Ekspresyon dance troupe.

Gift and craft fairs have also taken over public spaces throughout Quebec.

The Biosphere on St. Helen's Island plays host to the 7th annual Recycling-artists Eco Fair.

The slogan is "re-capture the holiday spirit" and everything on sale is made from recycled or repurposed materials, including Christmas ornaments, belts made from old license plates and jewelry made out of construction material.

The fair is on until Sunday.
