Here's yet another reason to avoid the Turcot Interchange this weekend: the ramp from Decarie to the Ville Marie Expressway will be closed.
From 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, the ramp that leads from the 15 South to the 720 East will not be open.
This is in addition to the many other closures and lane restrictions on the much-patched tangle of concrete.
They include: the long-term closure of the 15 South to the 20 West; lane restrictions from Decarie to the 15 South, and the 15 North to Decarie; restrictions on the 20 East to the 720 East; only one lane open from 720 West to the 20 West.
This weekend the Jacques Cartier Bridge will also undergo the second-half of its repaving 'blitz'.
The bridge will be down to one lane in each direction from 2 a.m. Saturday until 8 a.m. Monday, July 30.
Transports Quebec has taken steps to assist drivers navigate through the construction cones.
It has updated its website with a trip planner that takes roadwork into account.
