Montreal police are alerting the public to look out for a missing man who may be suicidal.
Carlos Crevaux sent a message to a friend on Thursday but has not been heard from since.
The 56-year-old man frequents downtown Montreal and has had minor brushes with the law ever since a relationship ended in 2002.
Crevaux is 1.75m tall and weighs 88 kg (5'9", 190 lbs), and is completely bald.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 9-1-1 or call Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
