Two young men, aged 18 and 19, have died following a fatal car crash that took place at around 2:15 a.m. Saturday in Montreal East. The two were passengers in the vehicle.

Three others, one woman and two men, aged between 18 and 25 - are in hospital in critical condition.

The car, driven by a 19-year-old, left the road and hit a tree and then caromed into a balcony near Notre Dame and Dube.

Skid marks at the scene indicate that the driver attempted to brake while travelling at a high speed.

Police are investigating to attempt to determine other circumstances that might have led to the fatal crash.

Nobody was hurt inside the home.
