Two men have been charged with the first-degree murder of 26-year-old Charles Robitaille.

The victim was stabbed at 1 a.m. Monday Oct. 10 at near the corner of Berri St. and Ontario St.

Robitaille was able to get to a nearby hospital and seek help, but his wounds were too severe and he died of his injuries.

Police looked at surveillance video from the area and spoke to several witnesses before tracking down two suspects who appeared in court on Tuesday.

Yasar Aykin, 19, and Mikael Etienne, also 19, were both charged with first-degree murder.

They will remain in custody pending a bail hearing.

This is the 17th murder of the year in Montreal.
