An arsonist has destroyed two cars in LaSalle.
Around 2:30 a.m. Thursday someone set fire to two cars parked in the driveway of a duplex on Cavalier de LaSalle Terrasse near Centrale St.
Firefighters rushed to the scene but unable to save the cars, however they did manage to contain the flames and prevent the building from being damaged.
Witnesses told police they spotted a person wearing a ski mask running away from the fire.
The police arson squad has taken over the investigation, and their preliminary determination is that the firebomb was thrown at the cars.
