Montreal police are investigating a possible murder suicide in Ville Emard, which reportedly saw Serge Savage kill his giriflriend of 18 months Sylvie Larocque, 43, after she broke up with him. He then took his own life, according to the TVA network.
Police would not confirm that scenario but told CTV Montreal Sunday that they are investigating the possibility of a murder suicide that led to the two deaths.
Police say the bodies were found Saturday near the corner of Jolicoeur and Briand Sts.
The first body discovered was that of a man in his 40s. He was discovered in a public park Saturday morning by a bystander, confirmed Montreal police spokesperson Danny Richer. That bystander called police who arrived on the scene.
In the course of their investigation, police found information that led them to an apartment on Briand, near Jolicoeur in Ville-Emard, where the discovered a second body -- that of a woman in her 50s. Police said they believe the two are connected.
The major crimes unit is investigating the deaths and are interviewing witnesses.
