It seems that a strike has been averted at the city of Dorval.
The union representing 120 blue-collar workers reached an agreement-in-principle Thursday that could head off a walkout scheduled for the weekend.
The union is recommending that its members ratify the proposed agreement in a vote that will take place shortly.
The workers have been without a contract since July 2006.
