The bail hearing for the teen suspected of killing Darius Brown has been delayed again.

The 17-year-old was set to appear in youth court Friday morning, but the Crown and defence are disagreeing over which court the case should be held in.

The suspect, who cannot be named because he is 17 years old, is accused of the second-degree murder of Darius, of possessing drugs with intent to traffic, and of breaking his probation conditions.

His defence attorney Andrew Barbacki filed a motion to have the bail hearing held in Superior Court, saying that if the trial is to be held in adult court, it would be more appropriate to hold the bail hearing there, too.

The Crown would like the bail hearing to be held in youth court.

The matter will be settled on Dec. 6, and a bail hearing will be set after that.

Darius was killed on Nov. 17 in what police initially said was the attempted robbery of a 19-year-old woman.

They later said Darius had been attacked by another 17-year-old boy.
