Police in Deux Montagnes are investigating the suspicious death of a man found in the yard of a school.

The body of the man, apparently in his twenties, was found at Ecole des Perseides in Pointe Calumet at 7:20 Friday morning.

Police say the man suffered a massive injury to his head, and was not carrying any identification.

It is believed the man ended his own life, although an autopsy will be needed to confirm the cause of death and to identify the person.

As of 11 a.m. the body was still on location as police waited for the coroner to remove the body.

The school remained open for the day, with police saying the area where the body was located was isolated, with no windows overseeing that spot. No students saw the body.

The school board sent an intervention team to the school if anyone, teacher or student, wished to discuss the death.
