In his latest charitable act, Montreal Canadiens star P.K. Subban signed jerseys Sunday afternoon in the atrium of the Montreal Children’s Hospital that bears his name.

Subban donated 100 per cent of the proceeds from the purchased hockey jerseys he signed to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, a gesture that comes a little more than two months after he donated $10 million to the hospital.

During the Sunday event, Subban signed several of his special #76 Winter Classic jerseys, and spoke about how he likes visiting the hospital on Sundays, because it helps ground him for the week ahead.

He said it’s often difficult to see kids battling cancer.

“It's definitely tough. I see it as a part of my responsibility. I want to do it, that's why I do it. I see the impact it has and how it makes people feel. It's great,” he said.

While the kids are always thrilled to see Subban visiting, the parents say they’re just as impressed.

“As a hockey player he's a star for a lot of kids, once he gets into the hospital, he's a superhero for the kids here,” said Daniel Harris.

While at the event Sunday, Subban also announced he was teaming up with former Boston Bruins legend Ray Bourque to raffle off tickets for some lucky fans to go to the Winter Classic, as well as some other goodies, including a special pair of skates designed by Subban himself.

The Winter Classic will be played by the Montreal Canadiens against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 1 at the outdoor Gillette Stadium near Boston.
