MONTREAL - Today, the fifth anniversary of the disappearance of Cedrika Provencher, is being marked by a pair of events.
The first takes place at St, Michel Park in Montreal at 1 p.m., while a religious service will start at 8 p.m. at the Notre-Dame-du-Cap Basilica in Trois Rivieres.
The girl, who would be 14 now, has never been found after disappearing from her home town, in spite of massive and unrelenting searches.
Thousands of posters plastered the province and a reward of $170,000 was offered but the searches proved fruitless.
Family and child disappearance experts remain hopeful, however, that she can still be found.
