A well-known Montreal bar owner faces another legal fight.
The municipal court of Montreal recently found Peter Sergakis guilty for tampering with bottles of alcohol at his Sky Bar complex at 1474 Ste. Catherine St. E.
In November 2013, Montreal police seized 103 suspicious bottles. Some did not have proper stickers and others that were overfilled, suggesting contents from other bottles were added, a practice which violates liquor laws.
Sergakis maintains his innocence and says he's appealing the decision.
He faces up to $18,000 in fines.
