A flock of sheep went for a stroll Wednesday through the streets of Montreal.

Following a pilot project last year, sheep are once again being used to crop grass in the Rosemont La Petite Patrie borough.

On Wednesday they were herded about a dozen blocks from Pelican Park to Lafond Park, accompanied by a crowd of people eagerly watching the spectacle.

The sheep are being watched over by Biquette à Montreal (Montreal sweethearts) and everyone is welcome to interact with them daily from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The herd will eventually be returned to La Ferme Gastronomique Chez Anouk, in Mont Laurier, about 250 kilometres north of Montreal.
