The Habs are counting on two players to give them a new image in the 2016-2017 season as they both play their first games as Canadiens Tuesday night.

Alexander Radulov and Andrew Shaw will make their debuts with the Habs as the Washington Capitals take on the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre Tuesday night.

Radulov and Shaw were skating on the same line along with centre Brian Flynn as they trained in Brossard Tuesday morning.

None of the 20 players who played Monday night in the pre-season matchup against the New Jersey Devils will face the Capitals.

Greg Pateryn and Nathan Beaulieu are expected to play, along with Torrey Mitchell, Stefan Matteau, Phillip Danault, Michael McCarron, Paul Byron and Charles Hudon.

Al Montoya and Zachary Fucale will share goaltending duties.

The Canadiens also revealed that defencemen Andrei Markov and Alexei Emelin defenders, who played for Russia at the World Cup, will return to training with them on Thursday.

Defenceman Mikhail Sergachev, who was injured at the rookie tournament in London last week, has received the green light to resume training.
