Two people were badly hurt overnight when they crashed their car in Baie D'Urfé.

The car went off the road and hit a hydro pole, five concrete block, and two trees before rolling onto its side.

The 60-year-old driver had serious head injuries and at last report was in critical condition in ICI in the hospital.

The 55-year-old female passenger hurt her shoulder and was also hospitalized.

The single-vehicle crash happened at 12:35 a.m. Monday on Lakeshore St. near Carriere St., one block away from Baie D'Urfé's town hall.

At this point the speed limit changes from 30 km/h to 40 km/h, but police suspect the driver was going much faster.

Police closed Lakeshore for several hours but reopened the road around 5 a.m.
