The Pidgeon twins are two of a kind: both love rugby, and both are very focused.

"The twins have always played together for hockey and soccer most of the years. For rugby too it was kind of a natural," said their father Sean.

But it took a year before James joined his brother Chris on the pitch.

Chris picked up the game in Grade 8 at Lindsay Place High School.

"I heard that rugby was really physical with contact and it really got me interested," said Chris.

His brother James started in Grade 9, and he enjoys other aspects of the "game for barbarians played by gentlemen."

"It's more mental then physical," said James. "There is more of a strategic side to it."

This past year the twins helped Lindsay Place High School win the GMAA Division 3 rugby championship and this summer were in their third year with the Saints in Ste. Anne de Bellevue.

"At times we calm each other down but it's good to have him backing me up and so forth. It's good to have your brother on the team," said James.

Their dad says rugby is a way to harness their aggressive nature, while coach Liam Zivkovic says the pair never complain and never stop working.

"They are very focused. They don't get out of their heads and they don't go crazy," said Zivkovic.
