QUEBEC -- Quebec Finance Minister Nicolas Marceau will present his second budget next Thursday.

The government is confirming the budget will be tabled at 4 p.m. on Feb. 20.

The last Parti Quebecois budget came in November 2012.

The timing of the coming budget is heightening speculation an election call could follow within days or weeks.

Some possible scenarios would see an election being held in late March or in the first few weeks of April.

The PQ was elected with a minority government in 2012.

"The Quebec budget is an opportunity to take stock of the state of public finances and on government action to support the economy," Marceau said in a statement.
