The Liberal party of Quebec is holding a special meeting Monday in Montmorency Falls.

Premier Philippe Couillard said the caucus is gathering because they need time to have open and honest political discussions.

Critics say that's a diplomatic way of pointing out the party has to air its dirty laundry behind closed doors.

The Coalition Avenir Quebec has a list of issues that it believes is causing dissent within the Liberal party's ranks these past few months, including dealing with Uber, registering long firearms, exploring for oil and gas on Anticosti Island, and corruption within the Transportation Ministry.

Interim PQ leader Sylvain Gaudreault is calling Monday evening's meeting "the quibbling caucus," and expects it will leave many MNAs in a sour mood.
