The election may be over, but the real political season is only just beginning.

Philippe Couillard is expected to announce his candidacy in the next two weeks.

"When he was health minister, he was an oxymoron, he was a popular health minister. Most people die in that job," said Antonia Maioni.

Don Macpherson says he has other good qualities.

"He had almost that mesmerizing capacity to gain people's confidence. Even if all hell was breaking loose in the health system, if Dr. Couillard the health minister said things were okay, he had the situation under control, people believed him," said Macpherson.
