MONTREAL - Montreal police shot and injured a 53-year-old man Wednesday night when they responded to a domestic dispute call.
The incident began around 1 a.m., when police were called to an apartment at 2473 Jean-Talon St. West in Villeray.
It appears the 53-year-old man threatened police officers who shot and hit him, possibly in the leg.
The man and another person were taken to hospital and treated. Neither is in danger of dying although the extent of their injuries is unknown.
The provincial government has ordered the Surete du Quebec to investigate the incident.
