Police in the Richelieu-Saint-Laurent region are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing pregnant mother.

On Aug. 1, 28-year-old Cheryl Bau Tremblay went missing from her home in Beloeil, about 45 kilometres east of Montreal, after spending a few days in Magog.

Bau Tremblay was not carrying her purse or her phone, and is in the second trimester of her pregnancy. She lives with her boyfriend and also has a young son.

Her family alerted police at the end of the evening.

Police say Bau Tremblay's disappearance is puzzling.

"She is someone who's got no depressive problem, no alcohol or drug issues. No bad frequentation. No bad habits. So for us it's more mysterious," said Yanic Parent of the Richelieu Police.

"It seems we have a normal person who had no problems with anybody so our investigators are working right now, trying to know what happened."

Bau Tremblay is 28 years old, 160 centimetres tall (5'3") and weighs 63 kilograms (140 lbs).

She is a white woman with black hair and blue eyes. She speaks French. She has a tribal tattoo on her right wrist and was likely wearing black leggings at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 450-536-3333, sra@police-rsl.qc.ca or call Info-Crime at 1-800 711-1800.
