Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men involved in a firebombing last month.

Montreal police have released surveillance video of the two men they believe are responsible for the firebombing at La Cantina restaurant, Nov. 24.
              
The restaurant, located at 9090 St. Laurent St. at Legendre St., was set ablaze twice in the last month – first in late November and again Dec. 3.

About 1 a.m. on Nov. 24, two suspects smashed the window of Ristorante La Cantina in Ahuntsic, throwing two Molotov cocktails inside and starting a small fire.  

Then on Dec. 3,Molotov cocktails were again tossed through the restaurant’s window, this time destroying the business.

La Cantina was also in the headlines five years ago, when known Mafia associate Frederico Del Pechio was murdered in its parking lot.

The two suspects wanted for the event on November 24 are white men. At the time of the crime, one suspect was wearing a hoodie or hooded jacket, dark pants with white vertical lines on the sides and gloves. He covered his face during the crime. He has short dark hair.

The second suspect was wearing pants in soft cotton fleece, a hooded sweatshirt, gloves and a blue coat.
