MONTREAL - No surprise that rubberneckers were out in large number to peek at an overturned car in one of the city's most densely-populated areas Friday night.
A driver traveling north on St. Marc near de Maisonneuve veered out of the way to avoid a car and ended up skidding and flipping over.
The 26-year-old woman was apparently trying to turn left on de Maisonneuve but hit a parked car at around 1:45 a.m. and the car flipped over.
The driver was brought to hospital but appeared to have escaped serious injury. Neither speed, nor alcohol were involved in the incident, according to police.
In another incident, an individual was apparently assaulted near 4540 Papineau. Police and ambulances came to his aid but were unable to shed any further light on the incident when asked about it Saturday.
