Police were busy overnight dealing with a trio of dramatic disturbances that left three injured.

A man in his twenties, who had been seen arguing with two others, was shot near the Main, at St. Catherine and St. Dominique at around 10:30 p.m. Monday. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Montreal police say that the victim is known to them and the dispute was over drugs. Two men are being sought.

Then just after midnight, two men invaded a home in Ahuntsic and hit the residents with various objects found around the house, injuring two of them. One of the duo was later arrested but police are still seeking the other suspect.

And then at 1:30 a.m., four young men aged between 17 and 19 attempted to escape police who were attempting to apprehend them in Montreal North. Police were eventually able to corral them near the corner of Dagenais and Matte.

Police found a loaded firearm and drugs in their possession. All four were arrested.
