Tracy Delaney, who thought she lost everything when she asked a small company to transfer her pictures and videos to DVD, has had everything returned.

In July Delaney asked for On Your Side's help ing getting back her family memories, nearly a year after she entrusted Friends and Family Films -- a company owned by Jeff Kleinberg -- to bring her into the digital era.

She was afraid ten years of family history, everything from first steps to final photos of grandparents who have passed away, was gone when the company went out of business.

But at the beginning of November Delaney unexpectedly received a package.

"Out came all the videos and we both just started to cry," said Delaney.

"We were so thrilled because I would still lay in bed at night and feel sick whenever I think about it so we were just so happy."

It turns out Kleinberg had done the transfer, but there were problems with the DVDs, so Delaney brought the film and videos back for a second attempt.

That's when the company folded, and Kleinberg moved.

Delaney also hired a private investigator and she believes the combined efforts of CTV and the investigator helped get her memories back

"There was a return address and phone number on the envelope and we called it," said Delaney.

"We left a message but we're waiting to see if he calls back."

Cutting through red tape at SAAQ

It did not take long for the Automobile Insurance Board to grant an exception for a South Shore family seeking a second handicapped parking permit.

Andrea Cleary contacted On Your Side when she got the runaround at the SAAQ.

She was seeking a second permit so that she could drop off her son, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, at school, while her husband picked him up.

It seems some bureaucrats at the SAAQ did not know that it is possible to have two permits for the same individual who is in the same predicament as Simon.

But after some help from On Your Side, Cleary made the application in writing, and received her second permit.
