The Surete du Quebec has arrested a man in connection with the murder of a Ste. Therese resident.
On Monday Feb. 11 neighbours of 56-year-old Martine Clement discovered her body in her apartment, where she had evidently been stabbed to death.
Police say they were able to locate a suspect and arrested a man in his 50s this week. He is scheduled to appear in St. Jerome court Wednesday to face charges of first-degree murder.
Clement lived alone, and neighbours had grown concerned after not seeing her in several days.
Last Monday they looked through the windows of her apartment and were shocked to discover her body.
